BREAKING: Tosin Adarabioyo bids farewell as Chelsea exit confirmed
Tosin Adarabioyo reacted to news of a Chelsea exit as the Blues’ summer of upheaval continues.
The former Fulham man swapped Craven Cottage for Stamford Bridge last summer on a free transfer.
Despite Enzo Maresca having a plethora of options available to him, Adarabioyo became the de facto first-choice option to pair with young star Levi Colwill.
Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi, and even Benoit Badiashile’s potential upside are arguably higher than the ex-Man City defender’s.
However, Adarabioyo’s calmness on the ball and natural leadership abilities, plus his excellent fitness track record, made him an appealing option to use with Colwill.
But despite a strong first season at Chelsea, the 27-year-old could be on the move this summer.
Mamadou Sarr returns to Strasbourg
In a boost to Adarabioyo’s chances of remaining at Stamford Bridge, Mamadou Sarr has returned on loan to Strasbourg after joining Chelsea this summer.
The talented French defender was a part of the Blues’ victorious Club World Cup squad that beat PSG 3-0 in the final.
Sarr appeared for just eight minutes off the bench against ES Tunis in the group stage, and will return to his former club to gain valuable first team minutes.
Chelsea shared the news on Instagram in a post captioned: “Defender Mamadou Sarr has joined RC Strasbourg on a season-long loan. Best of luck for the campaign ahead, Mamadou!” Which Adarabioyo liked, showing his support.
