BREAKING: Victor Osimhen set to join Chelsea as Todd Boehly set to break this ‘World Record’ fee
According to reports, Chelsea is getting ready for transfer negotiations this week with Giovanni Manna, the sporting director of Napoli, to talk about a possible deal for Victor Osimhen.
There are just two and a half weeks left in the summer transfer window, therefore the Blues have opted to make the Nigerian striker their top priority. To negotiate Napoli’s offer for Brighton player Billy Gilmour, Manna is already in the United Kingdom.
Additionally, the director of Napoli is scheduled to resume negotiations with Chelsea on Romelu Lukaku, who has the potential to replace Osimhen. Antonio Conte, the manager of Napoli, is allegedly excited for the Belgian player to rejoin after getting the most out of him at Inter Milan.
According to Di Marzio, there has been a breakthrough at Chelsea, with sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart having agreed to sign off on bringing Osimhen to Stamford Bridge. The 25-year-old is reportedly open to signing, but he insists the move be a permanent one rather than a loan. Osimhen has an £111 million release clause included in his Napoli contract.
Chelsea are not only faced with coughing up a staggering nine-figure sum for the striker, but also negotiating a salary which could shatter their existing wage structure. PSG are sniffing around Osimhen too, keen to replace Kylian Mbappe who joined Real Madrid this summer.
