‘Bring him in January we need him back’: Chelsea fans ‘goes wild’ after hearing news about £13m player
Chelsea fans on Twitter are not happy at all after learning that Nottingham Forest manager Steven Cooper has left Andrey Santos out of the squad for the Premier League match against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
Andrey Santos is on loan at Nottingham Forest from Chelsea at the moment.
The 19-year-old midfielder joined the Reds on a loan deal in the summer transfer window.
Santos moved to Chelsea in January 2023 for £13 million (The Sun) and returned to Brazilian club Vasco da Gama on loan in March 2023.
The teenager came back to Chelsea in the summer of 2023 and joined Forest on loan in August.
Chelsea fans would have expected Santos to get decent playing time at Forest and get the chance to progress and develop.
It is not going according to plan.
Chelsea fans not happy with Andrey Santos situation at Nottingham Forest
Santos has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League for Forest.
On Saturday afternoon, Forest manager Steve Cooper did not even include the teenager in his squad for the Premier League match against defending champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
And, as you can see below, Chelsea fans on Twitter are not happy at all.
@CFCMod_: Recall him in January immediately, this is horrendous man.
@Blkmamba11: He could have picked up a knock but definitely need him back at Chelsea asap
@SamBurna00: This was a terrible idea from the beginning
@SeunMobolaji: Fast turned into a terrible loan
@TomLevins1: Fuming. Hope Forest go down
@TucheIBall: Proper waste of a transfer
The problem with Andrey Santos is that Nottingham Forest signed Ibrahim Sangare and Nicolas Dominguez on the final day of the summer transfer window.
And Santos is only 19 and does not have any experience in the Premier League.
