Despite the official announcement is yet to be made by the player himself and Chelsea, Cesc Fabregas had an emotional game at Stamford Bridge against Nottingham Forest in the third round of the FA Cup.
The midfielder stepped onto the pitch with the captain armband in what was probably his final appearance for The Blues.
The player failed to break the deadlock from the penalty spot as Forest’s goalkeeper Luke Steele saved the Spaniard’s shot. Moreover, Fabregas was subbed off in the 85th minute.
He applauded the fans and received a lot of love from The Blues’ supporters.

Shortly after the final whistle, Cesc stayed on the pitch of Stamford Bridge to say his final goodbye to the fans. Apparently, he couldn’t help crying.
Fabregas joined Chelsea in 2014 from Barcelona. During his four-year spell at The Bridge our no.4 won the Premier League twice, the FA Cup and the Football League Cup.
