Liverpool are allegedly mulling over a shock summer swoop for Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
The Reds are believed to be seeking a new keeper during the current transfer window following Loris Karius’s double blunder in their 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
According to Don Balon, Courtois is the latest candidate Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is considering as a potential successor to Karius between the sticks.
Belgium international Courtois has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge this summer following reports that his contract talks with the club have broken down.
Courtois, who has 12 months remaining on his existing deal, was previously linked with Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, the Blues have been boosted in race for AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson as the agent of the players has denied that Real Madrid have a deal in place to sign the Roma star.
Alisson has made 64 appearances for Roma since joining the club back in 2016 and the 25-year-old is regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers in Europe.
The Brazilian’s outstanding form in Italy has seen him linked with a £79million switch this summer as Chelsea, Liverpool and Madrid all circle ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
