Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain has a ‘90% chance’ of becoming a Chelsea player this summer.
With Maurizio Sarri still expected to become Chelsea manager, whether that be this week or next year, links with Higuain are inevitable.
The Argentine enjoyed the most fruitful period of his professional career under Sarri’s stewardship at Napoli. The pair appear to be rather fond of each other.
With Cristiano Ronaldo being heavily linked with a move to Juventus (that’s a sentence we never imagined we’d write), Higuain may have to be shifted in order to make the move financial plausible.
Chelsea appear to be the most likely destination. According to Tuttosport, there is a 90% chance that Higuain will be a Chelsea player come the end of the summer.
Higuain could cost up to €60M, per the report, which is pricy for a 30-year-old. However, he has scored 146 goals in just five-years in Italy. If he could replicate that in England, we’d be laughing.
