Barcelona have reportedly been in talks to sign Chelsea winger Willian for the past two weeks.
News broke on Friday morning that Chelsea had rejected a £50M bid from Barcelona for the 29-year-old. It’s a lot of money, but it’s still early in the transfer window and the club appear confident of banking more.
Jose Mourinho is thought to be keen on reuniting with Willian at Manchester United this summer. The Special One is a keen admirer of the Brazilian, and appears to see him as the ideal solution to his right-wing woes at Old Trafford.
However, Mourinho ought to move fast, as Barcelona’s interest in signing Willian appears to every bit as genuine as his own.
Mundo Deportivo claim that Barcelona sources informed them they have been working on a deal to poach Willian from Chelsea for the past two weeks. It has been confirmed that Barca have held talks with Willian’s representatives over a potential summer switch.
