Chelsea could agree deal for 18-year old Monaco centre back in January
According to a report via French publication Le10Sport, Chelsea have been scouting and have shortlisted 18-year old Benoît Badiashile from Monaco.
They believe that Chelsea may look to secure the deal this January and complete it when their transfer ban is lifted, whether it be the same month or in the summer.
Badiashile is a highly rated France under 19 international and plays for Monaco as a centre back.
He is very a tall and physical defender and is valued at around £16 million by Transfermrkt.
Chelsea have been scouting the player in Ligue 1, and as a result of scouting assessments have shortlisted him as a future option to sign.
Centre back is an area where the Blues might look to improve on when they are able to sign players, but they also have a lot of competition there currently, and some of their own prospects coming through.
But Badiashile is vastly becoming a sought-after talent across the big European clubs.
