Colombia hero Yerry Mina could be on his way to Chelsea this summer in a part exchange deal for Winger Willian.
Willian has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea in recent weeks. It was initially thought that the race was being led by Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United. However, that no longer appears to be the case.
Barcelona look to have positioned themselves at the front of the queue to sign Willian this summer. It will, though, be hard to convince Chelsea to sell. Barca will have to pull something out the bag in order to get the deal done.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona may try to decrease the financial expenditure it would take to recruit Willian by offering Yerry Mina as part of the deal. Our players’ player of the year is thought to be valued at €80M.
Mina scored three goals in three World Cup appearances from centre-back, but struggled to force his way into Barcelona’s starting eleven last season.
At 23-years-old, he looks destined to become one of the best defenders in the game. Could he do it at Stamford Bridge? We’ll have to wait and see.
