Miguel Delaney of the Independent claims that there is a sense that the Saudi government is considering acquiring a significant European team.
The Saudi authorities are keeping an eye on Chelsea and other teams in anticipation of a future acquisition. The Saudi government has also expressed interest in Liverpool and Barcelona.
This is rather surprising considering that Chelsea only witnessed a major takeover from the BluesCo in 2022.
Neither of the co-owners in Todd Boehly or Behdad Eghbali have shown any desire to sell their ownership stake at the club.
Thers is, however, a rumoured ‘civil war’ going on withing Chelsea squad with both Boehly and Eghbali trying to buy each other out to strengthen their control of the club.
