Chelsea are thought to have held a meeting with Juventus in Milan today to discuss the potential transfer of Daniele Rugani.
It seems incredible that this deal is yet to get over the line. Rugani has been linked for several weeks now, yet he remains a Juventus player.
We spent the entirety of last summer chasing Juve’s Alex Sandro. We don’t appear to have learnt from our mistakes and have been strung along once again.
With Mattia Caldara seemingly off to AC Milan and Leonardo Bonucci heading back to Turin, the likelihood of Juventus selling Rugani has lessened.
That won’t stop Chelsea trying, though. According to TMW, a meeting was scheduled to be held in Milan today to thrash out a deal to sign Rugani.
Whether or not Chelsea were successful in their efforts to provide Maurizio Sarri with the centre-back that he desires – we’ll have to wait and see!
