Believe or not, but our legend Didier Drogba is still scoring, despite having turned 40 last year.
Didier has joined Phoenix Rising last year and netted 16 goals in 25 games also providing his teammates with 5 assists. Pretty impressive for a 40-year old, isn’t it?
Yesterday’s goal from Drogba was a really important one it helped his team beat Orange County 2-1 to win the Western Conference Championship.
The victory for Phoenix Rising means that they will now take on Eastern Conference Champions Louisville City on Thursday for the USL Cup.

Interesting fact Drogba is the first player-owner in football history – he joined Phoenix Rising in April 2017 and also became co-owner of the club.
With Chelsea, the Ivorian striker has won 4 Premier League titles as well as the Champions League in 2012.
