Chelsea’s summer transfer business is far from over. We’re thought to be targeting two players who could turn the tide in the title race.
At the time of writing both Manchester City and Liverpool are step ahead of us in terms of chasing the Premier League crown.
City have added Riyad Mahrez to their already star-studded squad, while Liverpool have drafted in Naby Keita, Fabinho, Alisson Becker and Xherdan Shaqiri.
Maurizio Sarri brought Jorginho with him from Napoli, but it’s not enough to get Chelsea competing again. We need more, and we could be about to get more.
The Telegraph have rounded the latest rumours from the English media, with Chelsea being linked with Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey and Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Bailey would be a direct upgrade on Pedro and a long-term replacement for Willian, while Milinkovic-Savic is one of the most highly-coveted midfield players in the world.
Signing either would be a huge coup. Only time will tell if we can get deals of either, or both of them, over the line this summer.
