According to Turkish outlet Fotospor, Trabzonspor are close to signing Chelsea midfielder Ethan Ampadu, who is currently on loan at RB Leipzig.
Eddie Newton, who left Frank Lampard’s backroom staff to become assistant manager at Trabzonspor this month, has reportedly contacted Chelsea about a loan deal for the Wales international.
Ampadu’s loan spell at RB Leipzig hasn’t worked out as planned with the 19 year old midfielder making just five appearances for the German club, including one Champions League start.
The report claims Trabzonspor have held “very positive” talks with the Chelsea over a loan deal for Ampadu and the Blues are willing to cut short his loan spell at RB Leipzig.
Should Chelsea sell Ampadu or loan him ?
