Chelsea could be set to have Tiemoue Bakayoko back on their books before January, with AC Milan unhappy with his performances this season.
According to The Mirror, Milan are threatening to send Bakayoko back to Chelsea if his displays do not improve in the coming weeks.
Bakayoko is currently on a season-long loan from Chelsea after failing to make an impact at Stamford Bridge last season for the club.
The Frenchman played 43 games for Chelsea last season and was able to score three times.
He joined Chelsea from AS Monaco in 2017 for a deal worth in the region of £40m.
Milan have the option to sign Bakayoko for €35m, but it appears as though they will not be taking it up unless his form improves.
Bakayoko made 92 appearances for Monaco in three seasons after his move from Rennes in 2014.
