Chelsea officially announces another very late deadline day transfer deal all done
via deadline day, the Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic confirmed via the club website that he had returned from his season-long loan to RC Strasbourg, a Ligue 1 team.
Petrovic had a respectable season at Stamford Bridge following his promotion to the Premier League the previous season, but he didn’t exactly have the impact that many had hoped for.
Petrovic has moved down the hierarchy at the club as a result of the team’s continued aggressiveness in the transfer market this summer, which saw the addition of a few stoppers, most notably Filip Jorgensen.
Strasbourg have been given alot of players over the past few months from us and now they have completed another loan deal after Petrovic made the move to Ligue 1 on deadline day
The Blues posted: ‘Djordje joined the Blues last summer from New England Revolution and made 31 appearances, including a start in the Carabao Cup final, during his debut campaign at Stamford Bridge.
‘The 24-year-old will now continue his development in the French top flight. We look forward to supporting and monitoring Djordje throughout his loan spell.
‘Good luck, Djordje!’
