Chelsea are reportedly pricing Davide Zappacosta out of a summer switch to Inter Milan.
Zappacosta signed for Chelsea on transfer deadline day last summer. The idea was that he would provide Victor Moses with genuine competition for minutes at right-wing-back, but he has proven himself unable to do so.
The Italian showed great promise against Qarabag in the Champions League group stage, but that was as good as it got in terms of his performances. Chelsea ought to look for an upgrade this summer, and he might provide us with some cash to reinvest.
According to Premium Sport, Zappacosta is one of Inter Milan’s top targets for this transfer window after Joao Cancelo returned to Valencia. However, Chelsea are providing a potential stumbling block – the asking price.
Premium Sport believe that Chelsea are looking to receive €30M in exchange for Zappacosta, which Inter believe is on the expensive size. Marina Granovskaia is well within her rights to demand such a hefty fee. Inter need to cough up or look elsewhere.
