Chelsea players back in training with one key player out and another back in

Frank Lampard gave his Chelsea players Monday off after an enjoyable win at the weekend over Norwich, but the Blues were back in training this week looking happier and hungrier than ever.

This weekend sees us take on Sheffield United, before an international break that could prove pivotal given our injury issues.

We’ve got Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, all potential first team players, out injured, and at least two of them could be back after the two week break.

Not only that, but N’Golo Kante, the best player in the team, has been excused France duty by his manager, so he will have the chance to return after a rest back to full power.

We Ain’t Got No History had photos from the session, showing who was and wasn’t there (Kante wasn’t, which hardly spells good news for his chances of being involved this weekend).

Callum is there, playing what looks like a full part in training.

Could we see him appear as a late sub against the Blades as he looks to return to fitness? It just might happen…
