Chelsea FC are lining up a swoop to sign Fiorentina key man Federico Chiesa in the January transfer window, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Express is reporting that Maurizio Sarri’s club are in “pole position” to sign the Italy international winger in the new year as Italian coach looks to add to his squad at Stamford Bridge.

The same report says that the Blues are ready to go head to head with Serie A giants Napoli for the signature of the 20-year-old ace as soon as the mid-campaign transfer window opens in the new year.

According to the same story, another Serie A outfit Juventus had a big-money bid for Federico turned down by Fiorentina in the summer transfer window, but now Blues are poised to try their luck in attempting to seal a deal.

The article states that new Chelsea FC boss Maurizio Sarri is a huge fan of Chiesa and he is interested in trying and bringing him to Stamford Bridge next year.

However, it is likely that Chelsea are going to face significant rivalry for his signature from the likes of Bianconeri and Partenopei in the January transfer window.
