Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is yet to be back for the Blues this season due to an injury suffered before the Europa League final last season.
The England midfielder continues his recovery from an Achilles injury, but despite his optimistic video updates, the return is not in sight yet.
As one source states, Loftus-Cheek’s torn Achilles was looking “like a horse’s tail” and the fibres were so ripped that his recovery process was far less straightforward than that of Callum Hudson-Odoi who had a clean rupture and was back in 5 months.
There have been several instances when RLC’s comeback seemed near. The club were hoping that the academy graduate could return to the pitch in January, but now it’s more possible to happen in the latter stage of the season.
Loftus-Cheek suffered his injury in May, two weeks before the Europa League final against Arsenal. The England international left the pitch an hour into a friendly game against the New England Revolution.
Despite the setbacks, Loftus-Cheek remains in Frank Lampard’s plans, as the coach is still looking forward to working with the player.
We really need this lad to comeback to action on-time before the UCL against Bayern Munich next month, hopefully he will recover soon let’s keep our hopes high.
