Chelsea secure sixth summer signing as Enzo Maresca wants £100M powerhouse

There are rumors that Chelsea and Atlanta United left-back Caleb Wiley have come to an agreement.

The US international, 19, is anticipated to sign an £8.5 million contract with Chelsea and play on loan at Strasbourg in France the following season.

Chelsea has already signed Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Marc Guiu, Estevao Willian, and Omari Kellyman; Caleb Wiley is set to be the team’s sixth summer addition.

Two appearances for the US national team have been made by Caleb Wiley.

Chelsea are close to signing Aaron Anselmino from Boca Juniors. The 19-year-old defender has agreed on personal terms over a £14 million move to Stamford Bridge. As part of the agreement, Anselmino will return to Boca on loan until January, allowing him to gain further experience before joining Chelsea’s first team.

Chelsea are very interested in a potential Summer swoop for Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande, sources have claimed.

There is still a lot of speculation surrounding the players that Enzo Maresca will look to sign during the summer window, especially now that Thiago Silva has left the club and decided to head back to Brazilian football.

That has led to some rumours in the media which have claimed that CHELSEA tried to get a transfer deal done for Diomande in the last few days of the last January window, but a €35million (£30m) bid rejected.

Diomande, who has an 100m release clause, quickly became a regular in the Sporting defence following his arrival at the start of the year, making his European debut against the Gunners in the Europa League.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

The Portuguese giants are said want the centre-back’s full release clause if they are to even contemplate selling the Ivorian, 20, but the MSN website believe the Blues are still taking a look at Diomande.

Reporter Iomie Stanley told icfootballnews: ‘Diomande has been very impressive this season and it would be interesting to see if he could handle the pressure of playing for one of the big clubs in the Premier League.

‘And the fact that he would add depth to the squad for not a lot of money, it could be a great buy from that CHELSEA board and could be a player that adds some more quality to that Blues squad.

‘Many Chelsea fans would like to see a striker make the move to the club in the coming window – but Diomande would still be a good signing at the end of the season’
