Chelsea send official proposal to sign Spanish attacker in coming days
Chelsea have sent an official proposal to sign Spanish attacker. However, they are unwilling to trigger his release clause which may complicate the deal.
The star in question here is Yeremay Hernandez of Deportivo La Coruna. Hernandez is 22 years old and has played for Spain national youth team. He plays on left flank either as a left midfielder or as a left winger. In addition, he can also play on right side when required.
Hernandez has been regular first team member since 2021/22 season. He helped Coruna to gain promotion to La Liga 2 in the last season. This season, he has levelled up on much bigger stage and has 8 goals and 3 assists in 18 games so far. He is catching attention from some top clubs from all over the Europe.
Chelsea make first move to sign Yeremay Hernandez
The Blues are one of many clubs keen to sign the 22 year old. According to Marca, Chelsea have sent a proposal to Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna. They have offered €10 million in fixed fee plus bonuses related to player’s performances and Chelsea’s objectives.
In addition, the Blues are willing to share percentage of any future sale of Hernandez. Lastly, they are also offering some of their players. However, it is not clear with Chelsea have offered their players on loan or permanent deal
La Coruna have deemed that the offer from Chelsea is insufficient. They are demanding the €20 million release clause in Hernandez’s contract to be paid fully. This may complicate the deal for the Blues.
Chelsea do have a great squad depth and missing on Hernandez won’t affect very much. They are willing to sign a perfect replacement for Nkunku who is on the verge of exit. They also have Mathys Tel of Bayern Munich on their radar.
