N’Golo Kante could soon agree a contract extension with Chelsea. That’d be the best signing we could get done this summer!
Kante has been influential for Chelsea since signing in the summer of 2016. He was such an obviously good acquisition from the start.
You know the story, he won the Premier League title during his debut season here. He became the first player to do so with different clubs in consecutive seasons.
Kante also scooped the PFA, FWA and PL player of the year awards at the end of the season, which was testament to just how good he was.
It’s been claimed this summer that all of PSG, Real Madrid and Juventus are interested in signing him. They’ll have to look elsewhere.
According to Le 10 Sport, Chelsea are set to open talks with Kante over an extension to his contract. The player himself has no intention of pushing to leave.
Let’s hope that progress is made on this front as soon as possible.
His commitment would be reassuring to Chelsea fans, who are burdened with concern over the possible departures of Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard.
