England international Ruben Loftus-Cheek could leave Chelsea before the end of the month, according to the Mirror.
The Premier League side, who defeated London rivals Arsenal 3-2 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening, have been linked with loaning out the midfielder before the close of the European transfer window on August 31.
The 22-year-old, who has eight international caps for the Three Lions, came on against Huddersfield Town for the final 22 minutes in The Blues’ 2018-19 league opener, but was dropped from the matchday squad at the weekend altogether.
Loftus-Cheek, who featured four times for England at the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia this summer, spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, where he scored two goals in 25 appearances in all competitions.
Following the close of the English transfer window on August 9, the report claims the central midfielder could move to a Spanish side on loan after being left out of Sarri’s latest matchday squad against Arsenal.
Ideally, The Blues want the Englishman to stay at Stamford Bridge and fight for a starting XI spot, but the player is worried about his long-term future at the club and wants more first-team football.
Loftus-Cheek, who is valued at £16.2m, is contracted at Chelsea until June 2021.
