Chelsea star received big Saudi transfer offer, could leave club soon
The Saudi Pro League has made a sizable transfer offer to Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to Marca.
The Spaniard played for Real Madrid on loan during the most recent season. He was signed as a backup following the major knee injury suffered by Thibaut Courtois.
Under manager Carlo Ancelotti, Arrizabalaga made a few starts. However, he was eventually replaced by the excellent Andriy Lunin in goal.
Although Marca claims that the former Athletic player has an offer from Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, he is scheduled to return to the Blues for preseason training.
Arrizabalaga is prepared to evaluate any offers in the upcoming weeks prior to his decision because he does not want to make a snap decision about his future.
Lunin is currently eyeing a fresh challenge away from Madrid. He is reluctant to play second fiddle to Courtois in the next campaign.
His potential exit could see Madrid return for Arrizabalaga. The Spaniard is said to be open to reuniting with the reigning European champions.
