Chelsea star set to miss start of the season after suffering injury on international duty

Nicolas Jackson, a striker for Chelsea, was hurt in his ankle while playing for Senegal in the international arena.

Jackson was substituted late in Senegal’s 1-1 World Cup qualifying match against DR Congo on Thursday.

In their subsequent World Cup qualifying match, Senegal defeated Mauritania on Sunday night, although Jackson was not included in the team.

Jackson was forced to leave the Senegal squad for the game due to an injury, according to the medical staff.

Nicolas Jackson has suffered an injury to his right ankle and following an MRI scan, Senegal’s medical team have discovered that the striker has a ‘serious sprain’.

The Chelsea striker will now recover ahead of pre-season training which begins in July.
