Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has been warned there are no guarantees he would find ‘happiness’ at Real Madrid.
The Belgian forward, who has already scored ten goals this season, reiterated last month that it has been his dream since he was a child to play for Real. The La Liga giants have been linked with a move for Hazard for the best part of two years and he does not appear willing to turn them down.
But former Liverpool and England midfielder Danny Murphy has warned Hazard about joining Real and says he can become Chelsea’s best-ever player if he stays.
‘Eden Hazard is the best player in the Premier League and I can see him staying at Chelsea for the long term, if he is offered the right contract,’ he told bwin.
‘I think his family are happy in London and there’s no guarantee he would get that freedom and happiness at Real Madrid.
‘I think Hazard could become Chelsea’s best player in history if he chooses to stay at the club. ‘He has conducted himself so well throughout the speculation and the fans love him even more for it.’
Last month, new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri told Hazard he can win trophies and the Ballon d’Or if he stays at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard missed Chelsea’s Carabao Cup victory over Derby County on Wednesday with a back injury but is expected to return this weekend.
