Chelsea Target ‘likes’ Instagram Post Wishing Him Good Luck At Stamford Bridge

Aleksandr Golovin’s former teammate, Sergei Chepchugov, has all-but confirmed that he’s heading to Chelsea.

Speculation linking Golovin with a summer switch to Stamford Bridge first emerged during the World Cup.

Golovin played an integral role in leading Russia to the quarter-finals of their own World Cup. He was absolutely superb.

Chelsea looked to have leapfrogged Juventus in the race – but then Michael Emenalo’s Monaco got involved.

Reports suggested that Golovin was now heading to Ligue 1, but that may not be the case after all.

Chepghugov, who played alongside Golovin at CSKA Moscow, posted the below message on Instagram, wishing the 22-year-old good luck at Chelsea.

Golovin himself liked the post. Could this be a suggestion he’s heading to West London?

We really don’t have a clue what’s going on here. If Golovin was Chelsea bound, you’d have thought the deal would be done by now.

There’s just 20 days remaining in the summer transfer window. We imagine that we’ll have a final answer one way or another imminently.
