Chelsea are on the verge of signing in-demand Bordeaux winger Malcom, according to emerging reports.
Since moving from his native club Corinthians in the winter of 2016, the 21-year-old star has steadily improved upon his game while proving his mettle as a star footballer. He was a key member of Bordeaux squad last season as they ended in sixth position on the Ligue 1 log following the 12-goals in scored in 35 games.
The 21-year-old star was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window after they sold Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez. Tottenham were also credited with interest in the star in January but Bordeaux did not allow their resolve to keep him to be broken by the offers made for him.
And now, the Metro have claimed in their report that Chelsea may just be on the verge of confirming a deal for him following a meeting with his agent Fernando Garcia over a potential switch to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea star Willian has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United but even if he stays with the Blues next season, they will still bolster their squad and Fred may be one of their signings.
Antonio Conte’s future with the Blues is very much uncertain but Chelsea are going on with the transfer window plans.
Chelsea will part with about £44m before Bordeaux will allow him to leave.
