Chelsea have advanced talks with AC Milan and Juventus over a potential move for Argentinean striker Gonzalo Higuain, this is according to reports.
The Blues surprisingly suffered their third defeat in the League at Stamford Bridge to Leicester City. One thing was apparent in the game, they lacked a potent striker.
Sarri has identified Higuain as a player that will may his frontline thick and he has sanctioned a move for the 31-year-old star.
The striker is currently on season long loan deal at the San Siro with AC Milan after forcing a move from Juventus.
Chelsea are willing to broker a swap deal with Milan in which Alvaro Morata will move the opposite direction and Higuain to Stamford Bridge.
According to the Telegraph, Chelsea will have to pay the remaining £8million loan fee of the South American star and his bogus wage, which is more than the £140,000 per week wage of Morata.
Sarri has been forced to play Eden Hazard as a false nine, and this reduces the efficiency of the Belgian star.
Having worked with Higuain at Napoli, Sarri is now looking to do same at Chelsea.
Even if Chelsea signs the player, they will have to been in the market for a younger striker in the coming markets.
