CHELSEA star Eden Hazard is no longer Real Madrid’s top target.
Spanish daily AS reckon Los Blancos are now determined to snap up Edinson Cavani from PSG.
It’s suggested Chelsea were demanding at least £178m to part with their prized asset.
Real have baulked at his mammoth asking price and are now determined to snare Cavani.
The Uruguayan target man has a prolific record at PSG.
He’s bagged 116 goals in 156 games for the Ligue 1 champions.
The 31-year-old had a similarly impressive record at Napoli and struck 78 goals in 104 Serie A games.
Hazard looked destined to leave Stamford Bridge following a series of eye-catching displays at the World Cup.
In a frank interview with HLN, he said: “After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different.
“Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go. You know my preferred destination.”
Speaking earlier this month, Blues legend Gus Poyet was adamant that Hazard would not stay in west London.
“The way he is talking, I think he will leave,” Poyet told talkSPORT.
“Real Madrid are looking for a player with his characteristics.
“I suppose it’s going to be difficult for them to get Neymar and if you need a player to play in the place of (Cristiano) Ronaldo, there are not many players like Hazard.
“It could be an option, but the way he is talking is probably because something is already going on.”
