Chelsea transfer news roundup: Christian Pulisic makes Chelsea transfer decision, £200M player open to join Chelsea and Blues told to pay £50 million
Christian Pulisic uncertain about future
Christian Pulisic has admitted that his future at Chelsea is not set in stone. The American forward has blown hot and cold since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.
He has struggled for chances this season and is a peripheral figure with the Blues. The London giants have endured a difficult time this season due to their faltering forwards, and changes are in order this summer.
Pulisic could be one of many names to make way as Mauricio Pochettino targets a new-look attack for the upcoming season. Speaking recently, Pulisic admitted that his performances haven’t been up to mark in recent seasons.
“Obviously, it’s been an interesting journey at club level for me. I thought it was a great couple years, and the last couple years just haven’t gone at all how I’ve planned them to be.
“It’s obviously very early. As of right now, I’m a Chelsea player, and I plan to go back. But a lot of things can happen. A lot of things can change,” said Pulisic.
Juventus have been linked with the 24-year-old recently.
£200M player open to join Chelsea
CHELSEA are said to be “quite keen” on a deal to sign Neymar this summer, with the PSG star open to joining the Blues, according to Julien Laurens.
Mauricio Pochettino is a man that will be heading to the club over the next few weeks after agreeing to take over from caretaker boss Frank Lampard – who will depart the club.
Neymar has been a player that has been heavily linked with a stunning move to Stamford Bridge – with reports suggesting that he is a player that Pochettino would like to add to his side.
PSG attempted to sell Neymar last summer but were unable to find a buyer for the Brazil international, who also wanted to stay at the French club.
However, ESPN reports that Neymar has changed his stance ahead of the summer window and is now keen on a move away from PSG
And if you believe the words of Laurens – he would be open to a move to Chelsea in the summer – The 42-year-old said: “PSG have opened the door, well, not just the door, the windows, fridge doors, anything you want for him to go! They’re just waiting for someone to be interested.
“We know that there were talks about Manchester United, which were not really true. I think Chelsea are quite keen, it will depend what Pochettino says, of course. I think he (Neymar) would like the Premier League.
“He doesn’t really want to be there anymore (at PSG). Chelsea are still high on his list, and he’s quite high on theirs, but there’s still a lot more work to be done on this one.”
Blues told to pay £50 million
CHELSEA have been told that they can sign Southampton star Romeo Lavia for £50 million in the summer window.
Mauricio Pochettino has a big job on his hands when he officially joins the club – and signing players that will make a difference is something that he is looking at the this summer.
Lavia is ‘admired’ by Chelsea’s recruitment team and could be the ideal complement to Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, though he will not come cheap.
Southampton view the former Manchester City starlet as their most sellable asset and will demand as much as £50million for the Belgian teen.
As part of the £12.5m deal that saw him move to the south coast, City included three quite significant clauses, the first of which allows them to match any bid that comes in for the player.
