Chelsea have been dealt a transfer blow after Metz striker Habib Diallo admitted this week he hopes to spend the rest of the season with the French club.
Chelsea have reportedly submitted a bid of £17 million for the Senegalese international with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard keen on signing a striker this January.
When asked about his future following Chelsea’s interest in signing him, Diallo responded: “A departure?
I hear rumours, but I am not aware of them.
“For the moment, I’m in Metz and I have extended until 2022. I hope to end the season here.”
