Chelsea and Premier League rivals Liverpool are in a battle to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
The 23 year old striker, who has scored 20 goals in just 18 league games, has made a decision on the Premier League club he will join, According to reports in Germany.
However, German media outlet Bild claim Werner will prefer a move to Liverpool over joining Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.
The striker reportedly believes Liverpool’s style of play is similar to the style of play of his current club RB Leipzig and thinks he will fit easily into Jurgen Klopp’s team.
RB Leipzig boss Oliver Mintzlaff recently admitted Werner isn’t unsaleable.
“If Timo continues to score goals, it is clear that not only Bavaria is interested in such a world-class player.” Mintzlaff said.
“Nothing is unsaleable in football. We have to be so honest.”
