Chelsea Two experienced players to miss Bayern Munich second leg

It was a devastating 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, and the Blues have an arduous task ahead of the second leg.

Chelsea will now go to the Allianz Arena in three weeks time without two experienced players.

Jorginho will be unavailable in Munich after receiving a yellow card for dissent and thus an accumulation of cards for suspension, and the Blues will also be without Marcos Alonso who was sent off for striking Lewandowski’s face with his arm.

Lampard reacted to the situation after the game.

“Jorginho is done by talking to the ref which is unnecessary when you’re on a yellow card,” the manager told BT Sport after the 3-0 defeat.

“Marcos Alonso, I haven’t seen yet and I will look at it, but they are out of the second leg so it’s an opportunity for someone else to come in.”

The Blues are short of options and Lampard will be hoping to have Christian Pulisic, N’Golo Kante, Callum Hudson-Odoi and a fitter Ruben Loftus-Cheek ahead of the second leg.

Both teams will face each other again on March 18 at the Allianz Arena.
