Chelsea U18 team defeated Wolves 7-0 in the FA Youth Cup fifth round tie on Tuesday night to qualify for the quarterfinal of the tournament.

Chelsea were saved early in the contest when Wolves midfielder Theo Corbeanu failed to convert a penalty 20 minutes into the game.

The youngster tried out the Panenka which was easily saved by the Blues’ goalkeeper Jake Askew.

From there, the Chelsea youth team went on an onslaught. A hat-trick from Marcel Lewis, as well goals from Ian Maatsen, Tino Anjorin, Myles Peart-Harris and Xavier Simons were enough to seal the victory for Chelsea.

The Chelsea youngsters 7-0 thrashing of Wolves matched the result recorded against West Brom in 2017, which is our joint-biggest Youth Cup win since the 1997/98 season.
