Chelsea‘have been offered’Bundesliga star after midfielder tells board he wants move

CHELSEA have been offered the chance to land Germany international winger Leroy Sane in a shock swap deal involving Mateo Kovacic.

Chelsea have been one of the most active sides in the transfer windows over the last few seasons – and there are alot of changes going on in the club – with a new board – and possibly a new manager.

Kovacic, 28, has entered the final 16 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and is free to discuss a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs in January 2024. Chelsea do not want to lose the man, but there is a feeling that he is ready to depart the club.

According to German outlet Sport1, Kovacic is seeking a way out of Stamford Bridge and has reportedly told the board that he would like to leave.

Now, according to Inter Live (via Sport Witness), Bayern Munich do not want to “resort to cash” to sign the Blues star. Instead, the Bavarian giants are planning to “undertake an incredible exchange negotiation” involving Sane, who has fallen down the pecking order under new boss Thomas Tuchel.

The player’s wife is also said to be “fed up” with life in Germany and has already returned to the UK, and the ex-Man City could follow in her footsteps in the upcoming summer transfer window, with Chelsea touted as a potential destination.
