Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has been trying to work his way into the Chelsea first team since impressing in a two-year loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Christensen played a bit part role last season under Maurizio Sarri, as he was key in Chelsea’s Europa League triumph, but barely featured in the Premier League. Christensen was third choice defender behind David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger.
And now, Luiz has departed Chelsea as he made the switch to Arsenal on transfer deadline day for £8m.
Christensen is likely to be one of the main beneficiaries of Luiz’s sudden departure from the club and he has taken slight dig at the Brazilian shortly after his departure was confirmed.

Luiz took to Facebook to post a message which simply read: “No player is bigger than the club,” before posting a picture of himself alongside his now former teammate.
