‘Clear message sent’: Player told club to sell him to Chelsea before Liverpool clash
Moises Caicedo has now sent a “clear message” to Brighton as he demands that an agreement is reached with Chelsea.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano.
So, what is the latest on Chelsea and Moises Caicedo?
Well, Roberto De Zerbi left the Ecuador international out of his squad for today’s pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano.
Alex Crook of talkSPORT claimed this was down to a hamstring injury.
Now – however – Romano has explained the real reason behind Caicedo’s absence at the Amex Stadium earlier today.
The hugely reliable Italian journalist believes Brighton’s No.25 has made it explicitly clear that he wants to leave for Stamford Bridge this summer, and talks between all parties are ongoing.
Romano adds that Brighton are refusing to budge on their stance despite today’s shock development.
The Seagulls want £100m to sell Caicedo this summer – nothing less will be taken seriously.
Chelsea have already struck an agreement with the South American on his personal terms, so a fee with Brighton remains the only hurdle – well, that and the consequential medical examinations.
However, reports claims Moises Caicedo wants the move as soon as possible before Liverpool clash on Sunday.
