‘Come back to Chelsea’ … Blues fans are absolutely buzzing about £36m-rated ace’s announcement

Belgium have a crop of players approaching the level of England’s Golden Generation, many of whom are well-known to the Premier League audience.

By the time the sides face off in the final round of group matches, both sides will hope to be through into the last 16 of the World Cup in Russia later this month – they could well be fighting for the top spot and a marginally easier first knockout match.

The squad on offer to Roberto Martinez is jam-packed with talent but one man whose World Cup berth was in jeopardy after an injury suffered in the closing stages of the season was Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi.

The forward – valued at £36m by Transfermarkt – spent the second half of the season on loan at Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund, where he was on fire before his season was cut short and his dreams of performing at the Russian showpiece were thrown into doubt.

However, as the Red Devils announced their 23-man party to try and clinch glory in Russia, Batshuayi was included, as he revealed that he had been passed fit and Chelsea fans are absolutely elated for their player…

Well deserved! Come back to Chelsea as world champions!
