“Come on guy’s Abramovich can’t do this” “He has ruined Chelsea with these 3 things” –  Former Chelsea star reveals 3 things Todd Boehly has done to destroy Chelsea

Ever since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital acquired Chelsea two years ago, they have invested more than £1 billion in new players.

It’s hard to tell where the team is going, even with the significant expenditure on acquisitions.

Under the ownership of American businessmen, Chelsea has struggled, and Emmanuel Petit, a former Blue, has been highly critical of the team’s actions.

The decision to fire Mauricio Pochettino, the trade of Conor Gallagher, and the lack of guidance in terms of player acquisitions and playing philosophy under alternate managers have all drawn criticism from Petit.

“My advice to the American owners is simple. They have made so many mistakes since they bought the club. You must realise what football is. We are not in an America,” Petit said.

“You brought in a new manager in Enzo Maresca, well it will take months for him to stamp his authority on the team and for the players to understand his methods. I still don’t get why you sacked Pochettino because the improvement was there for everyone to see in the last few months of the season.

“Now, you turn the page on Poch and open a new book with a new manager and a new playing philosophy. You decide to change your manager. You decide to put your best player (Gallagher) on the transfer market for a bargain price. Come on, guys.

“Who knows what will happen if Maresca starts the season poorly. You can’t change your philosophy every six months. You can’t think that because you’ve spent the most money, you will be successful.

“That’s not how it works and that’s not how you build a winning team. You can spend all the money in the world, but if you don’t have the right leaders, the right culture and the right philosophy on and off the pitch, you will achieve nothing in football.

“If I am a Chelsea player, I’m thinking, what the hell is going on here? What are we doing? What is the sport direction? What is the ambition for the season? What do you want to do on the pitch? What’s the philosophy?”
