CONFIRMED: Triple deal agreed as Osimhen domino falls
Chelsea have finally announced the signing of midfielder Dario Essugo from Sporting CP.
The Lisbon side already confirmed the move in March, also announced that Geovany Quenda will join Chelsea in 2026.
Essugo has signed a contract until 2033 and cost €22.27 million.
Delap deal done
Chelsea are on the verge of officially completing the signing of Liam Delap.
The Ipswich forward has agreed a six-year contract with the Blues and will cost €35m.
Delap completed the second and final part of his Chelsea medical on Monday afternoon.
Ekitike agrees terms
Chelsea have also agreed personal terms with Hugo Ekitike, according to a report.
The impending arrival of Delap has not influenced Chelsea’s desire to sign the Frankfurt star.
However, his price tag could still prove to be a major issue as the Bundesliga side are demanding €100m.
Osimhen domino falls
Galatasaray have officially given up on signing Victor Osimhen permanently.
While Chelsea are no longer in the race to sign the Nigerian, this is still good news for them.
That is because Galatasaray are not said to be keen on replacing Osimhen with Blues outcast Christopher Nkunku.
Chelsea and Manchester United are both long-term admirers of Osimhen, however the 26-year-old is set to snub interest from the Premier League in order to secure an annual salary of roughly €40 million in Saudi Arabia.
Galatasaray are also extremely interested in signing Osimhen on a permanent deal, following a hugely successful loan stint in Istanbul, but the Nigerian’s move to Al-Hilal is expected to be formally announced this week, according to Turkish publication Yeni Akit.
With a deal for Osimhen now extremely unlikely, Galatasaray have turned their attention to Christopher Nkunku and they have prepared an “official offer” for the Chelsea outcast, as per Fanatik.
The France forward only started nine Premier League games during the 2024-25 season, after failing to break into Enzo Maresca’s favoured starting XI, and he is reportedly “guaranteed” to leave Chelsea this summer after falling down the pecking order.
Liam Delap: Chelsea’s Victor Osimhen alternative
Although Osimhen has been on Chelsea’s radar for over a year, the Blues have seemingly decided against pursuing a deal for the Nigerian this summer due to his eye-watering salary demands.
They are instead set to complete the signing of Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap for €35m after beating Everton, Man
Utd and Newcastle United to his signature.
