Crystal Palace 0 vs 1 Chelsea: Player ratings as Ziyech goal makes the differences

Hakim Ziyech goal sealed the three points for Chelsea at Selhurst Park as the Blues return to winning ways in the Premier League race.

Following the match, we have draft out our playing ratings as Ziyech goal makes the difference.

Below are the player ratings:

Mendy: Was barely tested all game. Saw one Wilfred Zaha shot flash narrowly wide of goal. 6/10

Christensen: Used in an unfamiliar right-back role. Did well defensively but didn’t offer much offensively. 6/10

Thiago Silva: As expected, he put in a great showing at the back. 7/10

Rudiger: Solid performance at the back, and was barely troubled. Had a fine shot from 25 yards in the first half. 7/10

Sarr: Continued to impress in the second half. Played a fine ball through for Kante in the first half, but his shot couldn’t get past the goalkeeper. 6.5/10

Jorginho: Never really took control of the game, especially in the second half. Subbed off at half time. 5/10

Kante: The Frenchman had Chelsea’s best chance of the first half, but saw his effort saved by Guaita. Didn’t seem to have his normal burst that we have become accustomed to. 6/10

Pulisic: Given a chance in the starting eleven but he never looked his best. Was anonymous for a large part of the game. 4/10

Ziyech: Chelsea’s most lively player in attack, and all of Chelsea’s attack went through him. Had a goal ruled out for offside and scored another late goal to secure a win for Chelsea.

Havertz:  Had one or two good spells, but we didn’t see much of the German attacker today. 5/10

Lukaku: Much of the game passed by him in the first half, where he had only two touches. Got more involved in the second period, and had an assist for Ziyech ruled out for offside. 5/10

Subs: Loftus-Cheek: Brought energy into the midfield after replacing Jorginho in the 72nd minute. 6/10

Kovacic: Was more direct in the middle of the park after replacing Kante. 6/10

Alonso: Came on for Sarr and provided the cross from which Ziyech scored. 7/10
