The Blues advanced to the fifth round of the FA Cup after defeating Hull City and Nottingham Forest in the previous rounds.
Chelsea were drawn to face either Shrewsbury or Liverpool in the fifth round of the FA Cup, and Liverpool needed a second leg to beat the League One side and confirm their fifth round position against the Blues.
Chelsea were given a home tie for this round, and the Blues will host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, March 3 with a 7.45 pm kick-off.
Chelsea fans are used to winning trophies every season, and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has vowed to fight for the FA Cup trophy.
Lampard said in his press conference ahead of the FA Cup fourth round tie against Hull: “We just want to win it. We respect the FA Cup. I do, the players do and this club has been fortunate to win it a number of times in the modern era.
“So we want to win it, I don’t think we evaluate it like what’s the best chance of us with top four and is it more important than the FA Cup.
People will argue that but I don’t need to get into that battle. We are professionals so can we win the game and get to the next round.”
