Didier Drogba laments on how Pochettino could get Chelsea back to winning ways – ‘Especially Chelsea striking issues’

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba believes Chelsea aren’t playing what all Chelsea fans needs to expect from them.

However, the former Chelsea striker believes Chelsea need to apply some necessary changes in order to overcome their problems.

Pochettino bous suffered another disappointing 2-1 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday evening, seeing them crumble deeper into the 10th position.

Meanwhile, Nicolas Jackson‘s inability to convert several good chances saw Blues fail to take the lead nor find the back of the net until Wolves put two behind their goalpost.

Christopher Nkunku who made his return from injury came on as substitute and after having his first goal attempt cleared on the touchline by Toti managed to finally pull one back for Chelsea making it 2-1.

Sadly for Blues, Nkunku’s goal wasn’t enough to see Chelsea share points with Wolverhampton who have now extend their home win run against Chelsea.

Speaking after the match, former Chelsea striker; Didier Drogba voiced his dissatisfaction alongside suggestions as to how Chelsea can get back on winning ways.

“It has not been an easy ride for many teams and not just Chelsea. Our club although seems to be the few that have greatly suffered most during this phase of transition.”

“We used to be one of the best teams in the country and our attack used to be the best but I am not sure I can say that now without being questioned by even myself. Its understandable, the signs are there and if things don’t change, it could get worse.”

“I think the manager needs to create a competition within the team, there are many players already in the squad and I must confess the job the new owners have done with the squad depth is something I wish would have been done since.”

“But I think its now up to the Manager to take advantage of what has been given by the Board. A good way will be making these players contest for every position they can play well in. Everyone wants to play and they will give their lives for the shirt, they just need a motivation and goal to”. Drogba said

The Blues will be looking forward to bounce back on boxing day as they face Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
