DONE DEAL: Chelsea fans favorite player leaves club after 9-years as Chelsea completes another deal
Newcastle United has announced the permanent acquisition of Chelsea’s young defender Lewis Hall, as both clubs have confirmed.
The 19-year-old finished a season-long loan to the Magpies in August of last year, with a £28 million buyout requirement and an additional £7 million in add-ons.
Born and raised in Newcastle, Hall made his Premier League debut in September of last year against Sheffield United, winning 8–0. He went on to play in 22 games across all competitions.
Hall scored twice for the Magpies in the previous campaign, the first coming in a 3-0 EFL Cup victory over Manchester United in November of last year and the second in a 3-2 Premier League loss in May.
The England Under-21 international has now signed a long-term deal with Newcastle, severing his ties at Chelsea, where he played 12 senior games, after nine years of partnership.
