Eden Hazard is a doubt for Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup quarter-final, according to The Telegraph.
The Blues take on Bournemouth for a place in the last four of the competition and Hazard looked set to face the south coast side.
However, the Belgian limped out the end of Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Brighton at the weekend after taking a knock to his ankle.
Now Sarri has the dilemma of taking the risk and playing Hazard as he looks to take one step closer to securing his first trophy as a manager in English football.
It’s a decision Sarri can’t take lightly with an intense Christmas fixture period on the horizon, with the Blues still in every competition.
A potential replacement in the starting XI for Hazard would be Olivier Giroud, with the Belgian dropping out to get some extra rest.
In the two week period between December 19 and January 2 Chelsea have five games, including matches against Watford and Leciester City.
