Eden Hazard set to make Chelsea transfer decision after saying goodbye to Real Madrid

Former Chelsea star Eden Hazard is set to leave Real Madrid this summer, according to The Athletic.

The report adds: “Hazard is due to say goodbye to the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday when Real Madrid play against Athletic Club in their last match of La Liga.

“Hazard has a contract until 2024 and hoped to stay, but Madrid wanted him to leave and there has been an agreement for him to depart.

“It is understood that retirement is an option for the former Chelsea player, but that decision has not yet been made.

“The Belgium international joined the Real from Chelsea in the summer of 2019 becoming the most expensive signing in the club’s history in the process.

“Several injury problems have limited Hazard to becoming a bit-part player at the club and the former Lille winger has struggled to settle at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“Injury problems have hampered Hazard’s season, making only six La Liga appearances this season, ten in all competitions.”

However, some news claims that Eden Hazard would be happy if he can get some chance to play one more time at Chelsea

The Athletic have reported that ‘retirement is an option’ for the 32-year-old but a decision has not yet been made.

Hazard to continue playing or retire is yet to decide his next move.
