Enzo Maresca asks for striker be signed after Man Utd draw as Chelsea decide to get January deal done

Samu Omorodion is the type of striker that CHELSEA manager Enzo Maresca would like to have in his team, thus he is eager for the board to pursue him.

Toward the close of the transfer window, Omorodion was strongly connected to a move to Stamford Bridge. This was because the club wanted to spend more money and try to sign players who would improve in the upcoming seasons.

However, in spite of all the rumors and conjecture, the 6′ 4in striker eventually signed a permanent contract with Porto. Since then, he has been a sensation for the Portuguese team and is making a big impression at the Portuguese powerhouses.

While a move for a proven striker like Osimhen might prove popular with Chelsea fans, it is on Samu Omorodion that manager Enzo Maresca is “insisting” that the Blues chase, Fichajes reports.

The 20-year-old has enhanced his reputation greatly since moving to Porto in the summer for €15 million – considerably less than the club were expected to pay – notably shining against Manchester United in a thrilling 3-3 Europa League draw in October.

The Spain under-21 international has recently expressed his relief at not heading to Stamford Bridge – He told RTVE: “I went through a very difficult period, because, after all, everyone knows that I was about to sign [for CHELSEA], but the truth is that it didn’t happen. It was for one reason: God didn’t want it. I’m very happy, very content to be there.

‘The truth is that things are going very well for me and, above all, I want to continue to show what I’m capable of.”

CHELSEA TO SELL BADASHILE

CHELSEA will listen to offers for Benoit Badiashile this coming January transfer window, according to the latest reports in the media.

Badiashile was one of the players that Chelsea spent some money on a couple of transfer windows ago to hopefully help improve that back-line – who have been conceding far too many goals over the past few seasons.

However – the move to the Premier League has not quite worked out for the defender and he has been unable to hold down a steady place in that side over since his move to the club, and now a decision has been made on his future.

Foot Mercato, the club are now willing to entertain offers for Benoit Badiashile, who only arrived in January of 2023 for a reported £35m, as they wants to get his massive £150k-a-week wages off the books.

There has been interest in the defender from AC Milan but it is also said that Saudi Arabian clubs could come in for him.
