Enzo Maresca expresses frustration over Chelsea duo for awful performance against Brighton after FA Cup exit

Chelsea crashed out of the FA Cup at the fourth round stage following a 2-1 defeat to Brighton at the Amex Stadium.

Cole Palmer forced a comedic own goal from opposition goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen, however the lead didn’t last long as they were pegged back eight minutes later.

Kaoru Mitoma gave the Seagulls the advantage in the second half, and the Blues never really looked like getting back into the game.

Enzo Maresca thinks Chelsea players ought to have capitalized on their opportunities…

“Numerous opportunities to secure victory arose in the first half, yet we failed to capitalize on them. About three to four chances were generated.”

Enzo Maresca stated, “Nkunku had the chance as well; Sanchez’s error also cost us. I’m really frustrated with how we conceded the second goal.”

Chelsea will still play with Brighton next week in the Premier League hopefully we can get 3point
